1. Corrosion Resistance: It possesses superior resistance to corrosion from various gaseous and liquid media, including acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and salts, offering unparalleled advantages in corrosion protection. Depending on the specific application requirements, phthalic, isophthalic, or vinyl ester resins can be economically selected as the matrix material.
2. Lightweight, High Strength, and Easy to Cut and Install: As it is a composite of resin and fiberglass, its density is low, not exceeding 2 kg/dm³, only 1/4 that of steel and 2/3 that of aluminum. Its strength is 10 times that of rigid PVC, and its absolute strength exceeds that of aluminum and ordinary steel. Its light weight significantly reduces the need for foundation support, thereby reducing material costs. Its cutting and installation are simple, requiring no hot work or large lifting equipment, only a small amount of labor and power tools, further reducing installation costs.
3. Aging Resistance: Theoretically, the service life is over 20 years.
4. Flame Retardancy: The flame spread rate (ASTM E-84) of ordinary flame-retardant gratings does not exceed 25; the flame spread rate of high-grade flame-retardant vinyl ester gratings does not exceed 10. The oxygen index is not less than 28 (GB 8924).
5. Safety: Excellent electrical insulation, no breakdown under 10KV voltage; non-magnetic, suitable for use on magnetically sensitive equipment; the special structure of FRP gratings also provides anti-slip and fatigue-resistant properties.
6. Color: Colors can be freely selected. Custom colors can be provided according to customer requirements to improve the production environment. Common FRP grating colors include yellow, black, gray, green, blue, red, and transparent or semi-transparent options. A single color can be used, or a combination of colors can be used.
